Foundation Evaluation

Precision elevation readings taken across the slab or pier-and-beam foundation, analyzed against accepted construction tolerances. You get a sealed engineering conclusion that explains why - not just a pass or fail.

  • Written analysis of movement and its likely cause

  • Storm, leak or termite damage to roof framing

What you get

Find out whether a wall is carrying structural load before you remodel, open up a kitchen or remove it - and what support is required if it is.

$200

When you need it

  • Planning to remove or open up a wall
  • A wall was already removed by a previous owner
  • Your contractor or permit office needs an engineer's determination

What you get

  • Load-bearing determination for the wall in question

  • Budgeting for repairs on a new home
  • Sellers pricing a home with known issues

Frequently asked questions

Who performs the engineering evaluation?

Every evaluation is reviewed and sealed by a licensed Florida Professional Engineer (PE). We schedule it, gather the on-site data and deliver the sealed report to you - you deal only with us from start to finish.

How long does it take?

Most engineering reports are delivered within about 2 business days after the site visit or after we receive your inspection data.

Can I add an engineering evaluation to my home inspection or 4-Point?

Yes. When you book a Home Inspection or 4-Point you can add a Foundation Evaluation for $385 (instead of $485 on its own), a Repair Cost Report for $75, or an Engineer's Inspection Review for $200.

My inspection found cracks. Do I need a full foundation evaluation?

Not always. An Engineer's Inspection Review ($200) lets a licensed engineer look at the documented cracking and tell you whether it is cosmetic, needs monitoring, or calls for a full Foundation Evaluation.

How is a cost segregation study priced?

Cost segregation is quoted per property based on its size, type and purchase price. Call us or send a request and we will get you a custom quote.
