Wind Mitigation Inspection in Fort Pierce, FL
A wind mitigation inspection documents the storm-resistant features of your home — roof, straps, and openings — so your insurer can apply the premium credits you're legally entitled to.
Wind Mitigation inspections for Fort Pierce homeowners
Fort Pierce blends historic downtown homes, barrier-island properties on Hutchinson Island, and established inland neighborhoods like Lakewood Park. Many homes here predate current building codes, so insurers frequently require a 4-Point inspection, and coastal wind exposure makes documenting roof and opening protections through a wind mitigation report well worth it.
We serve homeowners throughout Fort Pierce and nearby Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, Hutchinson Island, including neighborhoods like Hutchinson Island, Lakewood Park, Indian River Estates. A wind mitigation inspection documents how well your home is built to withstand hurricane-force winds. We record features like roof shape, roof-to-wall attachments (straps or clips), roof deck fastening, the roof covering, and any impact-rated or protected openings. These are reported on the state's official OIR-B1-1802 form.
Why St. Lucie County insurers ask for a Wind Mitigation report
Florida law requires insurers to give premium discounts for qualifying wind-resistant features — but you only get those credits if they're documented on a wind mitigation report. Many homeowners are overpaying simply because their storm-resistant features were never inspected and reported to the carrier.
What you get

Qualifying features can significantly reduce the wind-storm portion of your premium — often the largest part of a Florida policy.
Credits You've Earned
If your home has straps, a hip roof, or impact windows, you're legally entitled to discounts — we document them.

Reports are completed on the OIR-B1-1802 form every Florida carrier accepts.

THE BEST INSPECTORS I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. I'm from Broward, relocated to Martin County & have used multiple inspectors for investment properties & my personal home. Other companies avoid looking deep (crawl spaces) or getting dirty. This company does. Our inspector (Calvin) is very nice, extremely detailed & his extra steps have saved me thousands. Shocking, because the price for mold, 4-points & wind was VERY competitive.

Calvin and his crew are AMAZING, once again saved us around $1,700. The prices of house insurance are NUTS, but not with him! Go with Calvin and you will not be disappointed. He will do his best to make your homeowner insurance affordable again! I only wish I could give him 10 stars!
