Complete Transparency
Here's exactly how the numbers work
A typical single-story Florida home needs 15–18 gallons for two coats of exterior paint plus 2–3 gallons for trim. We budget 18 gallons to be safe.
~$900 in paint, ~$200 in supplies (rollers, tape, drop cloths), and ~$240 for volunteer t-shirts. Every dollar is accounted for.
5 cents of every dollar you spend on paint in our store goes directly to the neighborhood fund. No hidden fees, no overhead.
Who Qualifies
We want to help the neighbors who need it most
Must Meet All
- Homeowner (not renter) — we're painting their property permanently
- Primary residence in the local service area (Treasure Coast, FL)
- Home exterior visibly needs painting (peeling, faded, damaged)
- Financial hardship OR physical inability to paint
- No active HOA violations that would prevent the paint job
- Home is structurally sound (we're painting, not repairing)
Priority Given To
- Veterans and active military families
- Elderly homeowners (65+) on fixed income
- Single parents with documented hardship
- Families dealing with medical crises
- Homes with HOA pressure/fines for exterior condition
Not Eligible
- Investment or rental properties
- Homes outside the Treasure Coast service area
- Homes needing major structural repair first
- Previous winners (within 5 years)
- Self-nominations (must be nominated by someone else)
